The Venue
Rainier Arts Center’s grand entrance overlooks Columbia Park, marking the gateway to the Columbia City neighborhood. The Center offers multiple spaces for your event – a state-of-the-art Auditorium, an Event Hall, and the multipurpose Columbia Room. The spaces can be rented individually or as a suite. The Center was renovated in 2020 to upgrade sound and lighting, improve backstage access, and enhance front-of-house amenities. The building is fully ADA accessible.
Our team will work with you to ensure your event runs smoothly. Prior to the event, we will meet on-site to discuss your setup and tech needs. We can provide add-on services, including event planning, ticket or concession sales, and more. If your event is open to the public, we will help promote it.
For ticketed events, you may sell your own tickets. We include all events on our calendar and in our monthly e-newsletter to supplement your marketing. If you need extra assistance, our team offers event planning services to make sure every detail is taken care of.
Once we’ve determined your rental needs, you’ll be provided with a written estimate and rental contract. Your rental is confirmed once we receive the signed contract and deposit. Renters are responsible for their own set-up and tear-down.
Rental rates vary depending on the date, size, and scope of your event. Additional fees for optional services or equipment may apply. A tech is required for events that use stage lights, sound system, and/or projection. Auditorium
The Auditorium is great for performances, film screenings, and community forums.
EVENT HALL
The lower level Event Hall is perfect for celebrations, meetings, and conferences.
Columbia Room
The Columbia Room can serve as a conference room, classroom, or green room.
