The Great Debate
The Emperors Group Consulting and UrbVote present the annual GREAT DEBATE. The Great Debate is a series of four, one-hour debates from contested races, (King County Executive, City Attorney, City Council, and Seattle Mayor) on the same day. These debates will address the concerns of the businesses and residents of South Seattle and are designed to target undecided voters at the time the ballots drop for the general election.
Debate Schedule:
King County Executive- 12:00- 1:00, Joe Nguyen / Dow Constantine
Seattle Attorney- 1:15- 2:15, Ann Davison / Nicole Thomas-Kennedy
Seattle Council pos. #9- 2:30- 3:30, Sara Nelson / Nikkita Oliver
Seattle Mayor- 3:45- 4:45, Bruce Harrell / Lorena Gonzalez
Candidates will have 2 minute open and closing statements and 3 minutes per question to debate up to 10 questions or fewer within one hour. Out of respect for all candidates, audience participation will be limited to written questions submitted prior to each debate.
