Southend musicians, poets, drummers, and dancers perform on the Rainier Arts Center porch! Relax in Columbia Park and enjoy the show.

Cece-T (Cecelia Tafia) – 5:30pm

Originally from Waipahu, Hawaii, Cecelia Tafia, also know as CECE-T is a local R&B artist that has been around making waves in the Music Scene in Seattle with her unique flow of music. She has taken her passion for music and has connected with her fans with her style that will capture you on the first note.
She has recently opened for the major 80’s iconic band “THE JETS”, and has recently performed in Polyfest Rock The Lot in front of 5,000 plus attendees in Auburn. As a songwriter and producer, she wants to continue to share her music with people.

 

Marc Smason & Friends – 6:30pm

Trombonist/vocalist, Marc Smason and his trio with Craig Hoyer – keyboard and Michael Barnett – bass. As a child in Texas, Marc Smason’s mother taught him to sing harmony with his twin sister. He studied classical and jazz trombone in Seattle and L.A. with Stu Dempster, Ken Cloud, Julian Priester & Slide Hampton, voice, with Jay Clayton, Yo Jin Chong & Ki Wasitodipuro.
Based in Seattle, composing & playing for film, tv, theater, and dance, Marc has performed throughout the world, encompassing many styles, with such luminaries as Bennie Green, The Funk Brothers, Julian Priester, Baby Gramps, Big Joe Turner, Carlos Santana, Sonny Simmons, Joe Henderson, Eddie Henderson, Andy Statman, Perry Robinson, Amy Denio, Michael White, Hadley Caliman, Jeff Johnson, Jay Thomas, Michael Bisio, Bert Wilson, and the Ivar’s Clams!
