DESCRIPTION:You’re warmly invited to join friends, staff, and board members of SouthEast Effective Development (SEED) and SEEDArts for Rainier Arts Center’s 100th birthday party!\nBuilt in 1921, Rainier Arts Center has been an affordable, multicultural gathering place and performing arts venue for our Southend communities for more than 25 years. The Center welcomes 500+ creatives and 18,000+ attendees at cultural and community events annually.\nIn 2019, SEEDArts began an extensive renovation of Rainier Arts Center, updating the building’s layout, amenities, and technology to create a professional-caliber performance experience. Now, 3+ years and a global pandemic later, we’re thrilled to be able to share the results.\nSchedule of events:\n5:00pm – 7:00pm\nPorch Festival Performances from Southeast Seattle favorites ADEFUA Cultural Education Workshop and Ben Hunter & Joe Seamons (Outdoors, Columbia Park)\n7:00pm – 8:30pm\nReception includes refreshments from Chef Tarik Abdullah of Feed The People and behind-the-scenes tours of the newly renovated Rainier Arts Center (Indoors, Rainier Arts Center Auditorium & Event Hall)\nSpace at the reception is limited.
